We learned a lesson on this DIY coffee table project right away! Once you find your pallets, YOUR FIRST STEP needs to be to strip the wood off of the pallet and plane it to a uniform thickness of 1/2.
Then let it sit for several weeks to dry in a non-humid environment so that the drying doesnt occur after your table is assembled. We assumed our wood was already dry because it felt dry we learned the hard way. :0
Step One: Grab your 2 x 2s and trim them down to 30 pieces. Make 45º cuts at each end using the miter saw .
Step Two: Use the corner braces with your drill to join the 2 x 2s into two frames.
Like this:
Step Four: Cut your plywood down to 30 x 30 using a table saw .

As a practical focal point in your living area, antique and vintage coffee tables and cocktail tables are an invaluable addition to any interior.
Low tables that were initially used as tea tables or coffee tables have been around since at least the mid- to late-1800s. Early coffee tables surfaced in Victorian-era England, likely influenced by the use of tea tables in Japanese tea gardens. In the United States, furniture makers worked to introduce low, long tables into their offerings as the popularity of coffee and coffee breaks took hold during the late 19th century and early 20th century.
It didnt take long for coffee and cocktail tables to become a design staple and for consumers to recognize their role in entertaining no matter what beverages were being served. Originally, these tables were as simple as they are practical as high as your sofa and made primarily of wood. In recent years, however, metal, glass and plastics have become popular in coffee and cocktail tables, and design hasnt been restricted to the conventional low profile, either.
Visionary craftspeople such as Paul Evans introduced bold, geometric designs that challenge the traditional idea of what a coffee table can be. The elongated rectangles and wide boxy forms of Evanss desirable Cityscape coffee table, for example, will meet your needs but undoubtedly prove imposing in your living space.

4 Width of corners in stairs or passages & clearance to the next wall.
5 Height of the ceiling or overhang on stairs.
6 Width of interior doorways and clearance to the opposite wall.
8 Height from floor to any low-hanging fixtures in the way.
Note:For apartments and multi-story homes with elevators, it is important to measure the height and width of the insides, along with the elevatorâs opening and its distance from the opposite wall.
Follow these steps to ensure a smooth delivery of your furniture. Many a time, just an inch of space can make all of the difference and save you the time and energy when moving large furniture pieces.
